Happy New Queer

Happy New Queer lands in Leuven on Friday, January 17! 

The enchanting Georgy Gorgeous—performer, drag queen, and prominent figure at Queer Leuven—hosts the city’s most delightful New Year's party alongside the powerful slam poet Sarah Bekambo. Francesca Birlogeanu weaves together the scattered pieces of herself and others in her New Year’s address, creating a new whole. Fabijoow brings Waacking to the stage, the club style born in the disco era's underground queer clubs of Los Angeles. Performance artist Celine dazzles us with gender-bending, glittery jockstraps, glass-licking, and shapeshifting—their favorite obsessions. Maxime Dreesen will play a mini-concert with brand-new music from his alter ego, Tabooboo. The cherry on top: a performance by Mama Tituba, drag queen and political activist from Brussels.

And then there’s an extensive program in the foyer (featuring N E N A, among others)… stay tuned, but make sure to get your tickets in time!
